Grape Harvest at Quinta da Avessada

Grape Harvest at Quinta da Avessada

Every year during the months of September and October, the Douro region celebrates the ritual of the grape harvest. Visiting the Douro during the grape harvests is to get to know the soul of the Douro people from the inside. At this time of year, the vineyards are bustling with activity and you can smell the aroma of the grapes in the air, as if claiming to participate in one of the best wines in the world.

This experience at Quinta da Avessada – Enoteca Douro includes participation in the harvest, cutting of the grapes, transport to the wine press and foot treading of the grapes. A traditional Douro lunch is served, and wine tasting is also available.
