Fisgas de Ermelo Waterfall

Fisgas de Ermelo waterfall is one of the largest waterfalls in Portugal. It is located in the Alvão Natural Park, in the parish of Ermelo, municipality of Mondim de Basto.

The Olo River drops from a height of about 200 metres through rocks between crags and cliffs.

Location

Access to the waterfall is possible through a PR3 footpath that departs from Ermelo.

From the Fisgas de Ermelo viewpoint you have the best view of the waterfall. There is an access road to the viewpoint from Capelinha do Fojo.
