The Rota do Douro viewpoint is located in the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães, parish of Beira Grande.
This is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Douro. Situated in the middle of the hillside, it allows visitors to integrate into the landscape and see up close the vineyards that run along the hillside to the Douro River. It has some wooden benches where you can sit and, in the shade of the trees, enjoy the beautiful view.
From the viewpoint you can see Quinta dos Canais de Cima and Baixo, the vineyards and the Douro River. Across the river you can see the Quinta de Vargellas and the train station. The river makes a bend which makes the framing more beautiful. Living up to its name, this place is called Bela Vista (beautiful view).
